Haiti has always held a dear place in my heart and organization, Dema Dimbaya, for numerous years. It is with great pleasure to announce that I have collaborated with a team of medical staff which includes doctors, nurses, & midwives, and have created a plan to provide medical equipment, medication, cleaning supplies, medical masks, PPE, lab technicians, and other essential supplies.
On August 14th, 2021, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck the Tiburon Peninsula in the Caribbean nation of Haiti.
It had a 10-kilometre-deep (6.2 mi) hypocenter near Petit-Trou-de-Nippes, approximately 93 miles west of the capital, Port-au-Prince. As of today, the death toll has surged over 2,200, with over 9,900 reportedly injured. At least 500,000 people are in need of emergency assistance in the affected areas.
It is imperative to get help to our family as soon as possible to ensure we save as many lives as possible. This project will be valued at roughly $10,000 USD, but the effect we push to have and the lives we will change will be priceless beyond measure. I extend this opportunity to you to help me help our family as this is what we should strive for globally.
